What to do
Watamu is the perfect place to kick back, chill out and relax. But that doesn't mean that there is nothing to do. There is so much to see and do in and around and Watamu that you will be spoilt for choice. With pristine beaches as far as the eye can see and crystal clear waters above an underwater world of wonders you can snorkel, dive, kite, SUP and more. Watamu is a famous fishing centre that promotes tag and release fishing of spectacular game fish. Beyond the beach you'll find the peaceful tropical forests of Arabuko Sokoke, have encounters with reptiles at Bio-Ken or explore the mysterious ruins of Gedi. There are restaurants, local handicrafts and culture all waiting to be discovered.
And of course you can rest, relax and explore inner space on a yoga retreat or just lay back and let the days drift by. It's the Watamu Way of life.

Turtle Bay Dive & Watersport Centre
The 1970 founded Turtle Bay Dive and Watersport Center was taken over in May 2020 by the German
couple Harry and Tina Scholz. It’s located on the hotel grounds of Turtle Bay Beach Club with direct
access to the natural sandy beach and Watamu Marine National Park.
