The 2015 H&A Watamu Triathlon: register today!

The 2015 H&A Watamu Triathlon takes place at Turtle Bay Beach Club, on April 18 and 19.

On April 18, children between the ages of five and 15 will compete in the Kids Aquathon. The following day, the H&A Triathlon sees the Sprint Distance, Olympic Distance and Relay events:

Sprint Distance: 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run

Olympic Distance: 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run

Sprint Relay (three people per Team): 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run

This year’s line-up will include three-time winner and Kenya international Swaleh Balala;  as well Michael Owora, who has twice finished second.

H&A Sports CEO Aida Rajab told “The race is now in its sixth year and has grown in stature, and 2015 will be the most competitive in its history.”

Registration for the events close on April 17.

Race director and Ironman competitor Falgun Bhojak told “This year’s course has been modified, and the distances and terrain will cater for all participants from professional athletes, first-timers and children.”
